Stacey Marlene – Deafinitely Wanderlust

Stacey Marlene is the face behind Deafinitely Wanderlust. In her own words, she states that she didn’t believe that traveling was something she could accomplish due to her disability:

“A Deaf broke-ass female with anxiety, me? Even I’ve been called a codo (Mexican slang for someone who is a cheapass). I truly once believed that my only way to travel was being with my family or traveling locally.

After losing a close aunt of mine, I realized that I only have una vida (one life). One of my biggest fears was becoming a bitter old woman with many regrets – the Whys and the What ifs. I then took a big leap of faith. I traveled to countries where I am privileged not having to break my bank: Asia and Latin America.”

Stacey’s travel blog is an eye-opening look into her life as a traveler, and a stigma bashing look at her accomplishments as a Deaf woman. Dive into her Instagram account here: deafinitelywanderlust and get ready to feel empowered thanks to her diverse tales.

That’s right. Ashlee is a connoisseur of beers, wines and spirits, and she’s willing to try and drink once, especially when it’s a native of the country she’s currently exploring.
